Whoohoo. A week and a half ago when I knitted with Nancy (with the beautiful blog) I finished my bag made from black and olive Patons wool. I used just over 200 g of olive and ~300 g of black. I am extremely happy with how it turned out. I washed it twice, the second time in hot water and my husband put it in the dyer (whoops). The bag shrank much more from top to bottom than side to side. Too bad I didn't measure it before it was felted. I sorta remember that it was 13.5 in across and about 17 or 18  in top to bottom. Now it is 12 x 10.

I purchased a kilo of each color from ebay so I will make a couple more bags with this wool. I already started the Market Squares Bag from "Bags-A Knitter's Dozen"and am working on Tier 6 now.

June! June! Where did May go? You could tell it was June in San Diego by the heavy layer of clouds covering the coast. I like it because otherwise it would be WAY too hot.
Tonight was the Women in Bioscience networking meeting. I met a couple of people looking for work, one person recruiting people and a few friends. They gave away door prizes but shucks I didn't get one.
I am LOVING my new bag project. So far I have knit the bottom and picked up the stitches and knit about 13 rows up. I am about ready to add the first stripe of olive. It is 70 stitches wide on 7 needles. I want a big bag.
