TaDa! My Drops cardigan is all seamed up and blocked. Blocking made it about 2 inches bigger. It fit better before blocking! The picture shows the cardigan fronts overlapped by about an inch on each side. I didn't wash and block my swatch so now I will have to come up with something creative for the front fastenings: toggles? snaps? shrink in hot water? I not really done but here are the specs:

Yarn: Rowan cotton glace 10 balls 50 grms each

Needles: Addie Turbo size 3

Followed patter except at shoulders where I did a three needle bind off.

these socks are perfect for easter. I made most of these socks on vacation. Easy and very comfy. Here is my procedure:

3x1 Ribbed Socks: used toe up cast on using this tutorial: Turkish cast on from Yarnivorous
kfb at the sides of each round for 6 rounds then increases at the sides of each round every other row until i had 64 stitches.
Knit until two inches before heel then do hourglass heel (I use better than baby booties for the instructions from interweave knits).
Legs are knit in K3P1 until almost no more yarn was left.
Cast off using grumperina method.

We went away for a week to Sedona, AZ. Never been, never thought about going there, but a great time-share came up to trade (my mom's time share) with two bed rooms at a nice place. Then it turned out Sedona has a lot of mtn bike riding and hiking and of course the weather at the end of feb is nice. So we went. The four of us. me, husband, son (2.5 yrs) and and my mom. The van was packed with bikes, clothes, food and toys..plus a large bag of knitting.

Here is what I brought to knit:

Drops Cardigan to finish seaming: Magic Stripes Chevron Scarf: Magic Stripes Socks: Louet Gems Sport Sock Project: RowanSpun 4ply for Tangled Yoke Sweater and just in case I ran out a left over bit of Treking XXL for some small socks. three knitting books and one magazine. All Options needles + addie Turbos for socks.

Here is what I was able to work on:

There was, not surprisingly, very little time to sit around and knit. We were able to bike and hike a little and while I was unaffected my husband, mom and son all had allergies the whole week.

This bit of construction in front of one of the resturants was one of the many opportunities to see big machines in action. the little guy was very happy to watch this while we ate.
